According to Buys, G. Reeves used Leonardo’s drawing to determine the lunar libration ±2°. He then calculated the drawing was made in the early evening on Dec. 12, 1513. The notebook is from 1513-1513. This may have been a time when Leonardo was living in Rome, and forbidden by the Church to carry out any more anatomical studies on cadavers.
